Scripture says, "Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God," (1 Corinthians 10:31).
"Whatever you do..."
Is this really as broad as it sounds? I'm going to say Yes, as the two examples Paul gives before "whatever" are the ultra-common tasks of eating and drinking. If we are to glorify God in our three meals a day, along with our likely overpriced and probably-not-so-healthy drinks and snacks in-between, then we certainly should seek to glorify God in everything.
Does that really mean we must think about how we are to magnify God at work? In conversations with friends and family? With our finances? In our kids' activities? With our entertainment choices? In our sleep?
Yes.
All of your life was granted to you by the hand of God. Now, knowing God in Christ, you are to give all of your life back into His hand by learning and submitting to His will in all things. You have the power to do this by the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16), and this is the "gold, silver, and precious stones" that form the foundation of a life that glorifies God (1 Corinthians 3:12-15).
Understanding what God has called us to do--and doing it--is what it means to live for God. It's what brings Him glory. This is something we can do, and we will do it together.
